RTA temporarily suspends Blue and Green Line east of Tower City until August 3

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Starting Sunday, rail service on the Blue and Green Lines east of Tower City Station will be temporarily suspended for four weeks while the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit System completes maintenance.

The replacement 67R bus will run to and from Green Road via Van Aken Blvd. and Warrensville Center Road. It will run every 15 minutes during weekday peak hours and every 30 minutes at all other times. The route will be marked with orange 67R bus stop signs.

RTA will reopen the Blue and Green Lines on August 4.

During the closure, the RTA will carry out work on bridges, overhead lines and tracks, as well as make repairs to pedestrian crossings.

“Once the project is completed, passengers will enjoy more reliable service on the entire Blue and Green Lines,” RTA said in a press release on Monday.

Schedules for replacement bus service can be found at rideRTA.com.
