1 dead in shooting in northeast Denver

DENVER (KDVR) — Police say someone was killed in a shooting in northeast Denver Monday night.

According to Denver police, it happened near East 48th Avenue and Dahlia Street. The accident scene is north of Interstate 25 and east of Colorado Boulevard in the Northeast Park Hill neighborhood.

The department released a report on the shooting at 8:52 p.m. and announced shortly after that the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. One person was taken into custody, police said.

Police said the investigation was still “at a very early stage” and did not initially provide any further information.
