Man arrested after police chase

BROOKINGS COUNTY, SD (KELO) — A man is behind bars in Brookings County this morning as an extensive chase came to an end Wednesday morning.

Coty Allen Tellinghuisen was arrested after he refused to stop for a Lincoln County sheriff during a traffic stop.

The pursuit ended near Colman, where Tellinghuisen abandoned his vehicle and entered the home of an unknown person.

Tellinghusen had multiple active warrants against him prior to the chase and is now facing additional felony charges in both South Dakota and Minnesota.

There were no injuries or property damage during the pursuit.
