3 dead in Chicago shooting stemming from argument, police said – NBC Chicago

Chicago police are investigating after three people were killed in the Chatham neighborhood early Sunday morning.

According to authorities, three people were walking in the 500 block of East 76th They got into an argument with two men on the street at around 2:17 a.m.

The two men got into a silver SUV, drove toward the trio and then opened fire, police said.

A man and a woman were shot multiple times and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead.

A third victim was also beaten several times and taken to Stroger, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

The silver SUV was last seen fleeing east on Route 76.th According to police, there are currently no suspects in custody. Two detectives are investigating the shooting.
