Police search for woman after 12-year-old boy attacked on way home from school

Police are trying to identify a woman after a 12-year-old boy was attacked in an attempted robbery while walking home from school.

The student was punched, kicked and pushed to the ground by two female suspects in an alley in Peterborough on Thursday, May 2.

Cambridgeshire Police have released CCTV footage of a woman they want to speak to in connection with the crime. The wanted woman is seen wearing a black mini dress with cutouts that reveal the distinctive tattoos on her leg.

Police said the victim was walking through an alley next to Churchgate at around 3.25pm ​​when he was approached by two women.

He was then beaten, punched, kicked and pushed to the ground by the couple because he refused to hand over his mobile phone and school bag.

Nothing was stolen and the victim suffered minor injuries in the attack.

Police would like to speak to the woman pictured in connection with the attempted robbery and are urging anyone who recognises her to report the incident on the police website quoting reference number 35/31127/24.
