Women “are more sexually satisfied in their 80s than before”

Older people not only have a lot of sex, as studies by the International Longevity Centre show – people (especially women) are sexually satisfied at the age of 80.

Researchers from the International Longevity Centre UK surveyed 7,000 people over 50 and found that women in their 80s are more sexually satisfied than women in their 50s, 60s and 70s.

According to researchers at the University of Manchester, they also find it easier to become aroused – possibly because relationships become stronger with age.

Dr David Lee of the University of Manchester said: “We know that positive sexuality and intimacy are associated with higher levels of happiness and well-being throughout life.”
