Man shot dead in South Philadelphia, police say – NBC10 Philadelphia

A man is dead after a shooting in South Philadelphia on Wednesday evening.

At 8:37 p.m., police responded to a shooting incident in the 2200 block of South 23rd Street, police said.

A 21-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:16 p.m., according to police.

No arrests have been made and the shooting is under investigation.

This fatal shooting occurred just hours after another on Wednesday in North Philadelphia that also left a man dead.
