Sheriff: Shreveport businessman arrested for extortion and false imprisonment

A Shreveport businessman was arrested on charges of extortion and false imprisonment.

The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office reported Wednesday, June 26, that Victor Llanito, 34, owner of SBC Bail Bonds and co-owner of a thrift store, had one of his bail agents take his business partner into custody on April 24 and bring him to his Caddo Parish office without his consent.

According to the sheriff’s office, the victim was then ordered to sign a lease termination form that was designed to remove the victim from the thrift store. The victim was released after the documents were signed and notarized, but suffered $104,400 in damages.

Llanito turned himself in to the Caddo Correctional Center on June 25 after a warrant was issued for his arrest on charges of extortion and false imprisonment.
