City Watch Alert: Memphis woman missing after leaving hospital

MEMPHIS, Tennessee – Memphis police have issued a city alert for a missing elderly woman who disappeared after leaving a local hospital.

The police said Gerldine Mitchell, 79, has been missing since June 7, 2024. According to MPD, she was released from Baptist East Hospital and has not been heard from since. She said she has lung cancer and a history of strokes.

Mitchell is 5’4″ tall and weighs 120 pounds. He was last seen wearing all black and glasses.
