Philomath Police Report: Stolen clothing, dog bite and more on this week’s call list

DAILY REPORTS

FRIDAY, 14 JUNE

• 10:31 a.m. – Police responded to a laundry theft incident at a Pioneer Street apartment complex. A resident reported that clothing with an estimated value of $200 was stolen from the dryer in a shared laundry room.

• 1:17 p.m. – Police responded to a report of identity theft from a resident in the 400 block of Dampier Drive. A woman reported that a credit card had been issued in her name.

Other calls: Police responses included a city ordinance violation at 12:05 a.m. (Main Street), a mental health condition at 12:06 a.m. (South 19th Street), a traffic stop at 6:36 p.m. (Main Street and North 16th Street), and shots fired at 8:09 p.m. (South 11th Street). Additionally, police assisted another agency with a call at 8:32 a.m. (South 19th Street). PPD reported a traffic stop.

SATURDAY, 15 JUNE

• No significant calls were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included an animal complaint at 9:55 a.m. (Main Street and Clemens Mill Road), an animal complaint at 10:01 a.m. (Main Street and Clemens Mill Road), citizen assistance at 1:39 p.m. (Applegate Street), a dog running loose at 4:28 p.m. (South 19th Street and Applegate Street), harassment at 7:07 p.m. (College Street), and a dispute at 11:10 p.m. (North 11th Street). In addition, police assisted the Benton County Sheriff’s Office with calls at 12:34 p.m. (Highway 20 and Marys River Estates Road) and 10:09 p.m. (Highway 20 and Garrett Lane). PPD reported three traffic stops.

SUNDAY, 16 JUNE

• No significant calls were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a 911 call (Vincent Street) and a suspicious person call at 10:48 a.m. (Applegate Street). Additionally, police assisted the Benton County Sheriff’s Office with a call at 2:56 a.m. (Highway 20 near mile post 42). PPD reported no traffic stops.

MONDAY, 17 JUNE

• No significant calls were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included a traffic stop at 8:27 a.m. (Applegate Street and South 13th Street), a parking complaint at 12:16 p.m. (College Street), trespassing at 1:11 p.m. (Main Street), a juvenile complaint at 4:25 p.m. (North 14th Street), shoplifting at 4:55 p.m. (Main Street), and a dog barking at 7:59 p.m. (Adelaide Drive). PPD reported no traffic stops.

TUESDAY, 18 JUNE

• No significant calls were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included an animal complaint at 4:06 a.m. (Main Street), harassment at 8:03 a.m. (North Eighth Street), dog barking at 2:03 p.m. (Pioneer Street), a welfare check at 3:42 p.m. (North 11th Street), traffic stop at 8:11 p.m. (Main Street and Green Street), and citizen contact at 9:10 p.m. (Main Street and South 26th Street). In addition, police assisted the Benton County Sheriff’s Office with calls at 3:34 a.m. (Main Street) and 11:36 p.m. (Bullevard Street). PPD reported nine traffic stops.

WEDNESDAY, 19 JUNE

• 4:52 p.m. – Police responded to a call about a sex assault on North 12th Street. No further details were released other than that a report was taken and a case number was assigned.

• 8:43 p.m. – Police arrested a 47-year-old Corvallis woman in the 1400 block of Main Street on a Marion County warrant for failure to appear in court.

Other calls: Police responses included trespassing at 8:25 a.m. (Main Street), illegal camping at 9:47 a.m. (Landmark Drive), and a suspicious person at 10:16 a.m. (Main Street). PPD reported four traffic stops.

THURSDAY, 20 JUNE

• 4:44 a.m. – Police arrested a 28-year-old Philomath man in the 700 block of Main Street on a Marion County warrant for failure to appear in court on a criminal complaint.

• 9:49 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a dog bite in the 100 block of North 14th Street. No further details were released other than that a report was taken and a case number was assigned.

• 5:25 p.m. – Police responded to a complaint about an animal at the corner of Evergreen Road and Walden Lane. No further details were released other than that a report was taken and a case number was assigned.

Other calls: Police responses included a dispute at 12:15 a.m. (North 19th Street), a mental health incident at 9:04 p.m. (Pioneer Street), and citizen assistance at 10:03 p.m. (McCall Way). PPD reported a traffic stop.
