Arrest after shooting in Norfolk, suspect faces charges

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Norfolk Police have filed charges against a 41-year-old man in connection with a shooting on E. Olney Road.

Andrew K. Babb of Norfolk was charged with attempted willful injury, willful injury, use of a firearm and possession of a weapon by a felon.

On Wednesday, June 19, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 800 block of E. Olney. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 50-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound.

Officers arrested Babb on Friday, June 21, around 10 p.m. He is currently being held without bail in the Norfolk City Jail.
