Man dies in accident in St. Tammany Parish in Folsom

ST. TAMMANY, Louisiana (WGNO) — Louisiana State Police officials are investigating a car crash that left a man dead in St. Tammany Parish on Wednesday, June 19.

The LSP reported that the accident occurred around 5:45 a.m. on Louisiana Highway 25 near J Core Road.

LSP officials said an initial investigation revealed that 77-year-old Joseph Jaeger Jr. was stopped in a GMC Terrain on a private road and was about to turn onto Louisiana Highway 25 while a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling north.

According to LSP, the GMC then entered the Chevrolet’s path, causing the Chevrolet to collide with the driver’s side front of the GMC.

Jaeger suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital where he later died.

The driver of the Chevrolet was uninjured.

The investigation is ongoing.
