Nana Patekar speaks about Tanushree’s sexual harassment allegations

Years after the MeToo controversy, veteran Bollywood actor Nana Patekar has finally spoken out about the allegations of sexual harassment made by fellow actress Tanushree Dutta.

In a new interview with an Indian publication, veteran actor Nana Patekar addressed Tanushree Dutta’s allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct during the song shoot of his film “Horn, ok, please” in 2008.

“I knew it was all a lie. That’s why I didn’t get angry. If it was all a lie, why should I be angry?” he told the interviewer.

Truth. What could I have said back then when nothing like that happened? Suddenly someone says you did this, you did that. What would I have said in response to all those things? Should I have said I didn’t do that? I know the truth that I didn’t do anything.”

For the ignorant: ‘Dhol’ The actress started the MeToo movement in India in 2018 when she accused Patekar, choreographer Ganesh Acharya and director Vivek Agnihotri, among others, of sexual harassment during filming.

She alleged that Patekar tried to “sexually abuse” her in 2008 when she was shooting a song for a single actor for his film.
