Lawrence police investigate fatal stabbing

LAWRENCE, Indiana – Lawrence police are investigating a fatal stabbing attack.

According to police public reporting systems, LPD officers were initially dispatched to the 4600 block of North Shadeland Avenue around 3:15 p.m. Saturday. An LPD spokesperson confirmed that police eventually located a 51-year-old man suffering from an apparent stab wound near the intersection of 46th Street and Shadeland Avenue.


The man was in critical condition when police found him. He was taken by ambulance from the scene to IU Methodist Hospital, where he was eventually pronounced dead.
