Man arrested and accused of robbery at Goodwill

CARLISLE, Ohio (WXIX) – A man accused of robbing the Goodwill in Carlisle on Friday has been arrested, police said.

James Humerick, 48, of Miamisburg, was charged with robbery, a third-degree felony.

According to Carlisle police, officers were dispatched to Goodwill on Central Avenue around 11 a.m.

The suspect threatened employees with a firearm and said he would empty the cash register. None of the employees were injured.

Humerick is said to have fled the crime scene on his bicycle towards Central Avenue before he was discovered by police a short distance away.

He was taken to the Warren County Jail and is scheduled for arraignment on June 24.
