Cape Coral man arrested for sexually abusing a minor | News, Sports, Jobs

A Cape Coral man was arrested for sexual abuse of a minor after a search warrant was executed on the suspect and his residence on Wednesday.

28-year-old Kerim Yesan Jr. is suspected of sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl.

According to Cape Coral Police, the department opened an investigation into a previous sexual assault on May 20 of this year. The reported victim told investigators that she was sexually assaulted by a family friend on multiple dates while staying at a home on Southwest 47th Terrace. The family friend was identified as Yesan, who was tracked down and interviewed by investigators.

Following an investigation, Cape Town Police arrested Yesan and charged him with two counts of sexual abuse of a victim under the age of 18 by a person aged 18 years or over.

At the time of publication, Yesan is in custody at the Lee County Jail.
