Deputies arrest two people in East Burke HS theft investigation

BURKE COUNTY, NC – The Burke County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 35-year-old Jessie Shull and 35-year-old Telitha Shull as suspects in a theft investigation at East Burke High School, a news release said.

The press release states that the sheriff’s office received a report of theft at East Burke High School, in which several items, including tools, were stolen from the Department of Agriculture.

After an initial investigation, investigators found items consistent with stolen material in a driveway on East Burke Boulevard in Connelly Springs.

Investigators said they attempted to contact the homeowners and found additional items and tools belonging to East Burke High School in the yard. After obtaining and executing a search warrant for the home, additional items were recovered from the home and an outbuilding.

Jessie and Telitha Shull were arrested at the scene and charged with possession of stolen property.
