FIRST WEATHER WARNING DAY – TODAY:

Today is a First Alert Weather Day. The very hot and humid weather will continue this afternoon. Cloud cover will help somewhat, but temperatures will still rise above 30 degrees in most communities. Humidity will also remain very high. The heat index will exceed 38 degrees in some places this afternoon. Stay as cool as possible. Limit time spent outdoors. Remember to keep an eye on children and the elderly. Make sure your pets have a comfortable, cool place to rest. For their safety, only walk pets on shaded lawns in the afternoon (so they don’t burn their paws).

The chance of a sudden rain shower and/or thunderstorm today is only 20%. Along the Tennessee River (west of Nashville) the probability is slightly higher.

TUESDAY TO FRIDAY:

Tomorrow will be similar to today with more clouds than sunshine. However, these clouds will only slightly limit the temperatures. High: 93 degrees. Chance of rain: 20%.

Humidity will drop a bit on Wednesday, which will also help. High: 93.

It will be even warmer on Thursday and Friday. Temperatures will reach up to 35 degrees Celsius on these days.

The very hot and humid weather will continue throughout the weekend.
