“Police operation” in front of Kensington Olympia paralyzes Overground and Southern train services

A “police incident” outside Kensington Olympia has led to the suspension of London Overground services between Shepherd’s Bush and Clapham Junction.

Southern trains between Watford Junction and Clapham Junction have also been disrupted by the incident, which is expected to affect the morning rush hour on Monday. According to National Rail Enquiries, emergency services are dealing with an “incident” which has resulted in line closures. Disruptions are expected to last until 12pm.

“Until further notice, no trains will be able to run between Shepherds Bush and Clapham Junction. This will impact Southern services between Watford Junction and East Croydon with trains being cancelled or terminated early.

“Please allow an additional 30 minutes for the journey as you will need to use an alternative route. Up-to-date information can be found in the journey planners and on the screens at the stations,” it says.

Meanwhile, the District Line between Ealing Common and Ealing Broadway is closed due to a signal failure.

Disruptions due to a police operation outside Kensington Olympia are expected to last until 12 noon.

This means that no trains will be able to run between Shepherds Bush and Clapham Junction, affecting Southern and Overground services.

Southern services between Watford Junction and East Croydon will be cancelled or terminated early.

The Overground also does not offer a connection between Shepherd’s Bush and Clapham Junction.

Thameslink trains delayed because passenger is ill

The illness of a passenger on a train in Farringdon leads to the closure of some routes.

There are delays on northbound trains between London Blackfriars and London St Pancras International because a passenger on a train in Farringdon is reported to be ill.

This impacts Thameslink services towards West Hampstead Thameslink, St. Albans, Luton, Bedford, Welwyn Garden City, Cambridge and Peterborough.

Services may be terminated and resumed elsewhere, stops may be cancelled, or they may be cancelled entirely.

There are currently minor delays on the Victoria Line due to the delayed completion of construction work at Walthamstow Central.

TfL also states that there are minor delays on the Circle Line due to a previous “customer incident”.

Signal fault affects trains in Marylebone

Due to a signalling fault in the Harrow-on-the-Hill area, trains from Marylebone and Amersham are currently unable to run.

Trains between Amersham and Aylesbury may experience delays of up to 30 minutes or diversions.

The fault is affecting rail services on the Chiltern Railway.

Disturbances are expected until 9:00 a.m.
