Man found dead on roadside in Durham

Police are investigating the man’s death as a homicide.

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) – Early Sunday morning, a man was found dead on the side of the road in Durham.

The Durham Police Department said its officers responded to calls reporting an unconscious person lying on the side of the road in the area of ​​2500 Wrightwood Avenue at 12:36 a.m. According to police, a medical examiner at the scene determined the man had been shot multiple times.

His death was pronounced at the scene.

Investigators are trying to determine whether the shooting occurred at the crime scene or somewhere else.

The man’s identity was not disclosed.
