Meade County jail guard under investigation after former prison guard accuses him of misconduct | News from WDRB

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Meade County jail warden will face a hearing before the county’s Ethics Commission next week following a complaint alleging breach of trust.

Meade County Jailer JJ Scarborough said he did nothing wrong when a traffic stop turned into a shooting.

The Meade County Ethics Commission said it received a complaint from former prison guard Troy Seelye, who also accuses Scarborough of improper use of public funds, abuse of power and conflict of interest.

The complaint alleges that Scarborough violated its code of ethics by giving an employee undeserved raises.

Scarborough told WDRB News that the allegations against him were false and that more information would come to light.

Seelye, who lost the 2014 election to Scarborough, said he released the information because it affected taxpayers.

The Meade County Ethics Commission meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 18, at 6 p.m. at EMS Station 1 in Brandenburg.
