Middleborough man arrested in Dartmouth on drug charges

DARTMOUTH, Massachusetts (WLNE) – Dartmouth police said a Middleborough man was arrested on drug charges following a car crash.

Shawn Walsh, 20, was charged with possession of Class B weapons with intent to distribute, possession of Class E weapons with intent to distribute and possession of Class C weapons with intent to distribute.

On June 15, around midnight, police responded to the Faunce Corner area because a car had crashed into a tree.

The officer who answered the call stated that he observed a bag of suspected psilocybin and a large amount of cash in the vehicle.

A search of the scene revealed pills believed to be oxycodone and Xanax, a psilocybin chocolate bar, marijuana vaporizer cartridges, $1,262 in cash, a Glock-style air rifle, a black ski mask and other items believed to have been used in the illegal sale of narcotics.
