Alarm: Building fire Coarsegold | Sierra News Online

COARSE GOLD–Air and ground firefighters are responding to a structure fire in the Coarsegold area that has also spread to vegetation. The structure is reportedly a 2,000 square foot workshop that is fully engulfed in flames. The vegetation fire is currently half an acre in area. The fire is visible on the AlertCalifornia wildfire camera Here. This is the Douglas fire on Douglas Road near Route 415.

The vegetation fire was contained, the remaining firefighters were already on their way to the scene of the fire and the operation was cancelled.

Ground crews are making good progress and have slowed the spread of the air attack on vegetation. They have canceled firefighting aircraft en route from Columbia Air Attack Base.
