1 person found dead after fire in Cleveland’s Mount Pleasant neighborhood

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – One person was found dead following a house fire on the city’s east side, according to Cleveland EMS.

The fire occurred in Cleveland’s Mount Pleasant neighborhood in the 3200 block of East 123rd.

The emergency services were called to the scene at around 8:50 p.m.

According to Cleveland Fire, EMS pronounced the victim dead at the scene and there were indications that the victim may have died prior to the fire. The Cuyahoga County Coroner will release full details on the cause of death.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown.

The Red Cross was called to the scene to assist the resident who lives in the lower part of the house.
