BCSO has set up a task force to investigate the shooting on the Northeast Side that left a 4-year-old girl dead

SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office announced it has set up a task force to capture the men who shot into a Northeast Side home, killing a 4-year-old girl and seriously injuring four other family members.

A BSCO spokesman said the task force was created days after the targeted shooting in northeast Bexar County.

According to BCSO Deputy Johnny Garcia, the task force consists of several units from the sheriff’s office.

Surveillance video released shortly after the shooting shows two men running toward a home in the 6700 block of Windsor Hollow Drive around 7:40 p.m.

Investigators say they need the public’s help in identifying the two men.

All five people in the house, including three children under the age of 10, were hit by the gunfire. The victims were taken to hospital in critical condition.

Four-year-old Maryann died from a gunshot wound to the head, according to her grandmother. At the family’s request, KSAT is withholding her last name.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest. To receive a reward, tips must be anonymous and submitted directly to Crime Stoppers by calling 210-224-7867, texting your tip to 274637, or using the P3 app, available on the App Store or Google Play.

Garcia said BCSO is working to increase the reward.
