1 dead after being struck by vehicle on SR-725 in Miami Twp. – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

State Route 725 remains closed after a person was struck by a vehicle shortly after 5:40 a.m., OSHP dispatchers tell News Center 7.

A portion of State Route 725 is closed after a person was struck by a vehicle in Miami Township early Wednesday morning.

Miami Township Police officers and Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) troopers were dispatched to the 2500 block of State Route 725 shortly after 5:40 a.m. following initial reports of a pedestrian strike.

OSHP dispatchers told News Center 7 that one person was struck by a vehicle and traffic was closed on both sides of State Route 725.

Initial scanner traffic indicated the accident occurred near Stafford’s Jewelers, just off Mad River Road.
