Man from Soo arrested for sexually abusive depictions of children on the Internet | WJMN

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. (WJMN) – Marquis Anthonie Harmon, 20, of Sault Ste. Marie, was arrested on child sexual abuse and extortion charges, according to the Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

According to MSP, Harmon was arrested following an investigation that was launched when it was discovered that Harmon was viewing files containing child sexually abusive material online. A search of his residence resulted in digital evidence being seized.


Harmon was charged with child sexual abuse and racketeering. Harmon was arraigned in 91st District Court on Thursday, May 30.

If convicted, Harmon faces up to 20 years in prison for child sexual abuse and 20 years in prison for extortion, according to MSP.
