Angel Reese reacted questionably to the incident with Caitlin Clark

The rivalry between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark appears to be as strong as ever, judging by Reese’s reaction to Saturday’s incident.

Clark was taken down by Chennedy Carter late in the third quarter of the Indiana Fever’s 71-70 victory over Carter’s Chicago Sky at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Carter’s hip check of Clark was not a basketball play, which is why many were surprised that an intentional foul was not called and why many criticized Carter for her behavior.

But one person seemed to fully support Carter: her Sky teammate Reese.

Former LSU star Reese, who had a rivalry with former Iowa star Clark during their college days, came from the Sky bench and cheered Carter on after Clark was knocked down.

After the third quarter ended and Carter walked to her team’s bench, Reese put her arm around Carter and greeted her teammate very warmly.

While Reese may argue that there is no rivalry between her and Clark, the way she reacted to Carter’s actions suggests otherwise.

Reese scored 8 points and 13 rebounds in 30 minutes in her team’s loss.
