Police continue to investigate shooting in parking lot of apartment complex in Lee’s Summit

LEE’S SUMMIT, Missouri (KCTV) — Police believe a man and woman were involved in an altercation before a shooting occurred late last night in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Lee’s Summit.

Lee’s Summit, Missouri Police say that on Thursday, May 30, at approximately 9:15 p.m., emergency personnel were called to the Crossroads of Lee’s Summit apartment complex, located at 2200 NE Town Center Blvd., for a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a man and a woman involved in a fight in the parking lot when shots were fired. Both left the parking lot before police could arrive.

The LSPD stated that the investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made and no information on suspects has been released.
