Police: Woman found dead in trunk of car from local car rental company | News

PLATTSBURGH – A woman was found dead in the trunk of a vehicle at a local car rental company Tuesday afternoon.

State police in Plattsburgh said they were called to the Enterprise car rental location at the corner of Military Turnpike and Route 3 in the city of Plattsburgh around 2:30 p.m. for a report of a dead person in a vehicle.

State police executed a search warrant and found a dead woman in the trunk of the vehicle. No further information was released as of Tuesday evening.

The area was cordoned off and several officers were on site throughout the afternoon and evening. A car was covered with a blue tarp and later a white tent was placed over the vehicle.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and that anyone with knowledge of the incident is asked to call police at 518-563-3761.

The investigation is being conducted by the State Police, the Plattsburgh City Police Department and the Clinton County District Attorney’s Office.
