A person was alerted after an accident on I-75 and had to be rescued

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – One person was taken to a local hospital this afternoon following a single-vehicle entrapment crash on I-75.

At approximately 4:04 p.m., units from the Alachua County Fire Department and the Gainesville Fire Department responded to a car crash at the 384 mile marker southbound. Crews found a vehicle on its side with a single occupant trapped inside. They deployed rescue equipment and extricated the victim within 15 minutes. The victim was transported to a local hospital for trauma.
