Starkville man arrested after allegedly forcing two children to have sex with him

The Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigation Division (CID) reported the arrest of a man accused of two counts of sexual assault against a woman.

Shantez Campbell, 35, of Starkville was arrested on May 20.

His victims were 13 and 14 years old. The sheriff’s department said the perpetrator was the partner of the victim’s grandmother.

The perpetrator is accused of giving the victim pills and alcohol and then forcing her to have sexual intercourse with him.

The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Campbell in Blue Springs, Mississippi.

A justice of the peace judge set bail at $75,000 for the two sexual assault charges.
