K Brandon McManus charged with sexual assault

New Washington Commanders kicker Brandon McManus and the Jacksonville Jaguars are being sued by two women who claim McManus assaulted them during a Jaguars flight to London last September. The two women worked as flight attendants.

The lawsuit was filed last week in civil court in Duval County, Florida.

McManus is accused of kissing and rubbing against a woman while she was seated as she attempted to serve her food. The second woman claims McManus rubbed against her as she served her second meal. The lawsuit also alleges McManus handed out $100 bills to encourage other flight attendants to drink and dance inappropriately for him, according to ESPN.

McManus, 32, spent nine seasons with the Denver Broncos before spending one season in Jacksonville. McManus signed with the Commanders in March.

The Jaguars are accused of gross negligence for failing to properly hire McManus, failing to train him on inappropriate and sexual contact with flight crew, failing to supervise him during flight, failing to implement policies and procedures to protect flight crew from sexual misconduct by employees, and failing to enforce a zero-tolerance policy regarding inappropriate conduct.”

A spokesman for the Commanders issued the following statement:

Today we were informed of the civil lawsuit filed against Brandon McManus on May 24. We take allegations of this nature very seriously and are investigating the matter. We are in contact with the league office and Brandon’s representative and will refrain from commenting further at this time.
