MANILA, Philippines — The Laguindingan International Airport in Misamis Oriental will suspend operations on Tuesday afternoon to conduct emergency drills, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said.

According to a statement from the CAAP, the airport will suspend operations from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. to allow for a comprehensive aircraft emergency drill.

According to CAAP, a Notam was issued to the Aviation Authority in early May informing airlines of the suspension, allowing the airport to limit the number of affected flights to just two.

“Because the NOTAM was issued early, airlines were notified promptly, giving them sufficient time to adjust their flight schedules,” the CAAP said.

“Due to this advance notice, only two flights are affected during this period,” it said.
