METRO Resumes Park and Ride Service with Some Detours in Downtown Houston

Clean-up efforts in the central business district are underway after severe weather wreaked havoc, damaging windows in high-rise buildings. The aftermath resulted in dangerous debris falling onto roads and sidewalks.

People traveling to the area should allow extra time for the trip, as street closures could extend travel times and some bus stops may be inaccessible, METRO officials advised in the release.

The US 290 HOV/HOT expressway will also reopen Tuesday.

Some METROLift bus routes and routes may experience disruptions due to street closures.

Service supervisors will be available to assist with any inquiries or concerns.
