Two dead in house explosion in Minnesota | The mighty 790 KFGO

Princeton, Minn. (KFGO) – The Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office and the state fire marshal are investigating a deadly house explosion in Princeton Tuesday morning.

Chief Deputy Sheriff Aaron Evenson said emergency dispatch received several 911 calls shortly before 4 a.m. about a possible explosion.

When sheriff’s deputies arrived on scene, they found a single-family home that had apparently exploded and had a large debris field that was partially engulfed in flames.

A search of the rubble found two victims, 60-year-old Royce Kreger Jr. and his wife, 61-year-old Katherine Kreger. Both were dead at the scene. According to the sheriff’s office, a family dog ​​was also found dead in the rubble.

Princeton is east of St. Cloud.
