Mega Millions ticket in Houston, Texas pays $3 million

HOUSTON — Someone who bought a lottery ticket in Houston wakes up Saturday morning with $3 million more.

A Mega Millions ticket sold at Polar Express #3 on Blalock Road in northwest Houston matched all five numbers but did not match the Mega Ball. The buyer opted for the Megaplier bonus, increasing winnings from $1 million to $3 million.

The winning numbers for Friday evening’s drawing are 46-54-56-67-70 with a Mega Ball of 16.

No one has hit the jackpot, which now stands at around $489 million. The estimated cash value of the jackpot is $226.4 million.

Mega Millions drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. Eastern Time.
