Investigations into the death are ongoing at Security-Widefield

(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) – The El Paso Sherriff’s Office (EPSO) announced it is investigating a death after responding to a welfare check in Security-Widefield on Thursday, May 16.

According to EPSO, deputies responded just after 9 a.m. to a welfare check in the 500 block of Cottonwood Drive, east of Main Street in Security-Widefield. EPSO said detectives responded to conduct a death investigation, although few other details were released. There is no risk to the community, EPSO said.

EPSO said it would provide further information as it became available.
