Prince George’s County police investigate fatal shooting at MGM Resort and Casino in Oxon Hill – Southern Maryland News Net

Investigators with the Prince George’s County Police Department Homicide Unit are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the MGM Resort and Casino in Oxon Hill.

The victim, an adult male, will be identified once his family is notified. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On May 11, 2024, at approximately 4:50 a.m., PGPD officers responded to the 100 block of MGM National Ave after MGM Special Police and Security reported a shooting. On site they discovered that the victim was lying in the parking garage with gunshot wounds. PGPD officers performed life-saving measures, but the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect shot the victim during an argument.

Detectives are working to identify a suspect or suspects.
