The incident occurred just before 9 a.m. near the 11000 block of Dixie Highway in Walton. According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, officers walked along the tracks and located 35-year-old Michale John Allison, who was pronounced dead at the scene. A preliminary investigation by the sheriff’s office revealed that Allison was walking on the tracks when a train approached, sounded its horn and hit him. The Boone County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and ordered an autopsy. The investigations are still ongoing
