Land records show that three of these eight homes – two in Miami Township and one in Dayton – are owned by Guo Qiang Lin or a company owned by him.

Other public records reviewed by the I-Team show that Lin’s business is registered with the Ohio Secretary of State’s office at Watoga Drive in Liberty Township.

From here, the district south of Dayton in Butler County can be reached by car in 50 minutes.

Public records show that the home on Cantata Court in Miami Township that agents searched Friday belongs to Yi Mei Lin, who lives two houses down from Guo in Liberty Township.

Federal investigators searched at least four homes in Butler County.

The coordinated raids in two Miami Valley counties are part of a broader criminal investigation in which federal investigators are seeking evidence in what they believe is a case involving financial crimes and labor exploitation.

News Center 7 has reviewed the U.S. District Court files in Dayton for records from this investigation, including search warrants from the Department of Homeland Security.

As of Friday evening, nothing had been publicly filed, meaning the documents could be sealed.
