US investigates Delta after days of disruptions at Atlanta and other airports following technical failure

Delta Airlines canceled more than 500 flights Tuesday, following a major disruption caused by a faulty update from cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike. While most airlines have resumed normal operations, Delta’s problems persist, raising questions about its recovery process.

Delta is working to restore operations by the end of the week and is cooperating with the investigation. The Department of Transportation will also review Delta’s customer service, including long lines and stranded unaccompanied minors.
