Albany woman arrested after aggressive driving on I-90

ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) — State police announced the arrest of an Albany woman in the investigation of an incident of aggression on the highway. Asani Brown, 22, faces multiple charges.

On July 9 at 3:41 p.m., troopers responded to a report of a dispute on the Thruway in Albany. During the subsequent investigation, State Police determined that during a road rage altercation, Brown allegedly drove recklessly, threw objects at another person’s car, and stopped in the roadway in front of the victim’s car.

After stopping, Brown reportedly got out of her car, approached the victim’s driver’s window and repeatedly punched the window until it shattered. She then returned to her car and fled the scene before police arrived.

Further investigation later led to Brown being identified as a suspect. She was arrested on July 12 after turning herself in to state police in Latham.

Brown was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment and fourth-degree criminal damage, in addition to numerous traffic violations, and was issued a summons to appear in Albany Municipal Court on August 1 before being released.
