Berkeley police investigate break-in on UC Berkeley campus

(BCN) — A man broke into the Golden Bear Cafe on the campus of the University of California, Berkeley, early Saturday, police said.

The break-in occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, according to campus police. A man forced his way into the store and stole “unknown items.”


The cafe is located at the east end of the Cesar E. Chavez Student Center, which was built in 1960 and houses several student services, including the campus program for students with disabilities.

Police are investigating the break-in. Anyone with information about this or similar incidents is asked to contact police at (510) 642-6760.
