Basketball coach who sexually abused four teenagers gets 19 years in prison and caning

The man asked the second victim for video calls so that the boy could show the man his genitals.

On March 2, 2020, the man asked the then 14-year-old victim and two other students to have lunch with him at a shopping center.

The boy agreed as he didn’t want to get in trouble with his coach.

After lunch, the man asked the boy if he wanted to try “that thing again.” The boy knew he was referring to a sexual act the man had previously performed on him.

The man then took the boy into a toilet cubicle and performed oral sex on the victim.

The third victim joined the high school team in 2018.

He lived near the bus and they often rode public transport together back to their respective homes.

On March 14, 2020, the man performed oral sex on the then 16-year-old boy in a school bathroom stall.

The fourth victim – the junior college student – was part of the secondary school team for four years and appreciated the coach for teaching him basketball and life skills.

On April 5, 2020, the man took the then 16-year-old boy to a public toilet after lunch together and performed oral sex on the victim.

The man was arrested on April 22, 2020 after the second victim confided to his classmate that he had been sexually abused by his coach.

The school authorities filed a police report and further investigation revealed the man’s offenses against the three other boys.
