Police are investigating a missing woman after she was found dead

The woman was last seen on Tuesday and was declared missing on Wednesday.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating a death in Ballantyne after a missing woman was found dead Thursday afternoon.

Matthews Police confirmed to WCNC Charlotte that 18-year-old Olivia Bruce was found dead on Rea Road near I-485. Bruce was last seen leaving Providence High School on Tuesday and Matthews PD declared her missing on Wednesday.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are currently investigating her death. Officials say there is no evidence of foul play at this time.
