Man killed, police officer injured after incident in Fort Hall | News

One person is dead and a Fort Hall police officer is injured in an incident Friday evening.

Police were called to a house in Batt Lane after receiving a call that a teenager had been attacked by a 20-year-old man.

When police arrived, they were informed that the suspect had disappeared.

However, when the suspect entered the house, he pointed a gun at police and attempted to flee the house.

Shots were fired and the suspect and an officer were hit.

The suspect died at the scene and the officer was treated and released from a local hospital.

The names of those involved have not yet been published.

The FBI is conducting the investigation with assistance from the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office.
