Police seek witnesses in case of youth murder

The Huron County OPP is seeking witness statements to assist in the investigation of a homicide that occurred in Holmesville.

On Wednesday, police charged a teenager with the premeditated murder of another teenager.

They are now asking for more information and would like to speak to anyone who was in the area of ​​the closed Holmesville Public School on Cut Line Road between noon and 4:15 p.m. on July 2.

They are also asking any motorists who drove through the area during this time to check their dashcams for footage that could assist in the investigation.

The teen, who is accused of first-degree murder, appeared in court in Goderich on Friday. He was remanded in custody and scheduled for another appearance on Thursday morning.
