Man wanted for attempted sexual assault in Boulder

DENVER (KDVR) – Boulder police are searching for a man who allegedly attempted to sexually assault a woman Thursday night.

Boulder police said the incident occurred shortly after 6 p.m. as the woman was walking on Broadway near Baseline Road. The area is south of the University of Colorado Boulder campus near the law school building.


The man allegedly grabbed the woman and dragged her into the pedestrian tunnel. Boulder police said the woman fought back, using pepper spray and biting the man on the hand. However, she was able to escape and run to a nearby fire station for help.

According to Boulder Police, the man is described as follows:

  • White man
  • In his 30s
  • Has long, shaggy hair
  • 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall
  • Average structure
  • Last seen wearing blue and grey clothing

Police said the man may have been bleeding or had an injury to his hand after the victim bit him.
