Two dead after collision with pickup truck in Downtown Manhattan

Two people were killed and seven others injured Thursday night when they were struck by a pickup truck near Water and Jackson streets on the Lower East Side, authorities said.

One person was arrested and several injured people were taken to hospitals, four of them in critical condition, police said at a press conference on Thursday evening.
